In the academy you can educate noblemen. They will help you conquer other villages. The requirements are level 20 Village Headquarters, lvl 20 Smithy and level 10 Market. (Effectively, since a Smithy is required, a level 1 Barracks is also required.)

Leveled Academies[]
The maximum level of Academy is 3 on an academy-level world. Nobleman's train like any other troop, but are very expensive and cost more to train each one. The price of the nobleman goes up as you buy them. If you train one nobleman the second nobleman would cost more. On the third it costs even more than the second one.

Gold-Coin Academies[]
On gold coin worlds, the max level of an Academy is 1. In order to train nobleman, the player must buy gold coins. It costs gold coins to train each nobleman, 1 coin for the first, 2 for the second, 4 for the third, 8 for the fourth etc. etc. etc.
